Le Klint – Legacy
LEGACY – A FILM ABOUT LIGHT, CRAFT, AND TRADITION
Legacy is a modern interpretation of Le Klint’s design heritage, built around the iconic hand-pleated lampshade that has defined the brand for decades. To capture the essence of this craftsmanship, we produced a short film that follows the creation of the lamp itself – from the careful folding of the pleats to the finished piece that ultimately shapes the light in a room.
FILM OBJECTIVES
The aim of the film was to:
Showcase the craftsmanship behind the Legacy lamp, revealing the remarkable precision required to create each individual pleat.
Bring viewers closer to the production process, highlighting the human skill and attention to detail that remain central to Le Klint’s identity.
Capture the quiet rhythm of the workshop, where tradition and modern design meet in the making of every lamp.
Present the Legacy lamp not only as a lighting object, but as the result of a long tradition of Danish craftsmanship.
VISUAL STYLE AND TONE
The film focuses on intimate, cinematic imagery from the production process. Close-ups reveal the delicate folding of the material, the textures of the pleated surface, and the careful handling that transforms flat material into a sculptural lampshade.
The visual language is calm and tactile. Rather than explaining the process through words, the film allows the gestures, materials, and light itself to carry the narrative – creating a quiet portrait of craftsmanship where precision and tradition remain at the heart of the final design.
